Neuroqueer Connections 🧠🏳️‍🌈 Our Final Gathering

Hello Reader,

Dear Neuroqueer Community, we hope your start to 2025 has carried moments of light and connection.

Our last newsletter shared an important update about the ending of our group, and the final Neuroqueer Connections session that will be hosted next Wednesday, January 8th. To read our last newsletter, click here.

This email is simply a reminder about our final gathering. We share a meeting agenda and link to register below.

Our Final Gathering - January 8th, 2025 5:00-6:30pm EST

Next Session's Group Agenda:

  • Welcome and settle in with music
  • Review agenda and discuss expectations for final session
  • Personal resourcing and intention setting
  • Brief somatic grounding practice
  • Guided grief activity - safe witnessing of hurt parts
  • Collective journaling with guided prompts
  • Final reflection and check-out

This session is open to members who have attended at least one prior meeting.

**If you are a new member who has never attended a past Neuroqueer Connections group, please do not register **

We encourage past group members to attend this transition session, with the focus of offering ourselves an experience of collective grief that can be witnessed and held.

While this marks the end of NQC in its current form, it is by no means the end of our commitment to serving neuroqueer individuals. You can learn more about Kim's practice at Yung Mee Psychotherapy, and Dani's practice at Intentions Therapy.

We are immensely grateful for the trust, vulnerability, and insights you’ve brought to the Neuroqueer Connections space. Thank you for being here and thank you for being neuroqueer!

With care,

Dani & Kim

Hi there Reader, Are you also heartbroken as you witness the wildfires, the ongoing genocides, the mass destruction — the impact on land and people and loved ones and strangers and animals? The heartbreak you feel — the heartbreak we feel together — is grief. Climate grief. And I want to say clearly: this grief is meant to break our hearts open. Witnessing this is meant to move us. The heartbreak is meant to shape our actions to build a more just world. But because we have so little capacity...

Shaping Grief: An Integration Group for Care Workers (Rain Cloud Eye)

Hello Reader, It's been a while since you've heard from me in this format — but I'm glad to be back in your inbox with something I've been building: a new grief integration group for therapists and care workers, open for applications now. You may be thinking… I am a burnt out therapist / caring professional with a heavy heart, looking for space to get to know my grief without being swallowed by it. I am processing a complicated, unacknowledged or invisible/ambient loss. I'm aware I'm...

Hello beautiful people, Its hard for me to believe this is my first newsletter of 2025. I am reaching out to say hello, to offer a few reflections on carework in this culture, and to uplift the message that we are here for one another. I can't keep my eyes and ears open to the world without my heart breaking. I can feel the weight of suffering daily and the immense grief and rage so many of us are holding for humanity. My sessions with clients contain layers of individual and collective...
